What to include on an invoice

A useful invoice normally identifies the seller and customer, includes a unique invoice number and dates, describes each product or service, and clearly shows prices, taxes, discounts, payment instructions, and the amount due.

How VAT/GST is calculated

Each line's quantity is multiplied by its unit price. After any proportional discount is applied, VAT or GST is calculated from the discounted line value using the entered rate.

How discounts affect invoice tax

Percentage and fixed discounts reduce taxable line values proportionally. This keeps invoices with multiple VAT or GST rates internally consistent. Confirm the invoicing rules that apply in your jurisdiction.

Does Cromtra store invoice data?

No. Invoice data remains in your browser and is not stored in localStorage or sent to a Cromtra backend.

Can long invoices use more than one page?

Yes. The generator starts a new page when the line-item table or notes exceed the available space.

Can I download Word or Excel files?

No. This tool generates PDF invoices only.
